Keynote Speaker:

Rev. Dr. Cynthia Love
Rev. Dr. Cindi Love is an ordained minister in the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) currently serving as the Executive Director of MCC worldwide. MCC, in 25 countries and 251 cities in North America, is the largest international ministry serving GLBT people. Prior to her ordination, Dr. Love was a professional
educator and therapist, an INC 500 company founder and senior executive for the NYSE corporation The TORO Company. GO NYC Magazine recently listed her as one of the 100 Women We Love Class of 2006 (out women making a difference across the continent). She is the author of Would Jesus Discriminate: The 21st Century Question (2008).

 

Panel Speakers:

Janeen Kobrinski is a local artist who has exhibited her work from Fargo to Jerusalem. She is also a musician, activist and lay rabbi for Temple Beth El in Fargo. She serves as board member and chairperson for Fargo’s Human Relations Commission

 

Rv. Dr. Wade Schemmel is the Conference Minister, Northern Plains Conference–UCC. He began his ministry in Minneapolis, Minnesota and has served churches in Springfield, South Dakota; Prescott, Wisconsin; New Bremen, Ohio; and St. Paul, Minnesota.

Yvonne Wynde is an educator and tribal leader. She received her Bachelor of Science in art education from the University of Minnesota and her Master’s degree in education from Harvard University. She has taught at tribal colleges, Harvard and the University of Minnesota and has been an officer for the American Indian Higher Education Consortium. She has written extensively on Dakota history and culture and is currently documenting her family history. She was inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame in 2004.
