In addition, the impressive list of businesses that earned a perfect score also includes Minnesota based Ameriprise Financial Inc. and U.S. Bancorp.

The sixth annual Corporate Equality Index shows an unprecedented 195 major U.S. businesses earned the top rating of 100 percent, up from 138 last year - a 41 percent increase.

The Corporate Equality Index rates businesses on how they treat their gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors. For ratings on other companies, visit www.hrc.org/workplace.

Every day, the Human Rights Campaign advocates to bring fairness and equality to more workplaces across the country. Since the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Workplace Project started ranking companies in 2002, more than five million more employees now enjoy full protections on the job.
